This week saw the official launch of the North of England Wedding Awards 2025, and we’re proud to shout from the rooftops that this nationally respected celebration of wedding excellence is run right here in Huddersfield.
Affectionately dubbed the “Oscars of the wedding industry”, the North of England Wedding Awards – now in its 13th year – shine a spotlight on businesses that go the extra mile for brides, grooms, and everyone in between.
What makes these awards stand out isn’t just the glitz and glamour (though there’s plenty of that on awards night!) – it’s the heartfelt focus on outstanding customer service. Whether it’s a DJ who kept the dance floor packed all night, a florist who brought a bride’s vision to life, or a wedding planner who made the whole day stress-free – these are the businesses that couples remember forever.
Huddersfield at the Heart
The awards are proudly organised from Huddersfield and champion suppliers not just across Yorkshire, but now also in the North East, North West, Lincolnshire, and the newly added Derbyshire. It’s a brilliant example of a local initiative with national impact.
The awards were officially launched this week via a live stream hosted by none other than Hudd Show Live’s own Grant Saunders and Alan Johnson. Their lively banter and genuine passion brought the magic of last year’s awards back to life – and set the stage for what promises to be the biggest year yet.
Nominate Today
Couples who’ve had amazing wedding experiences between June 1st, 2024 and September 1st, 2025 can now nominate their favourite suppliers – it’s a lovely way to say thank you and give local talent the recognition they deserve.
Awards Night Incoming
And of course, mark your calendars for October 20th, 2025 – when the industry’s finest will gather at the legendary Elland Road in Leeds for a glittering night of celebration.
